This is of course the mostimportant technological discovery ever. It is deliverable free energy. Civilization’senergy cost will now approach zero. Ireally cannot say this more strongly.
Every other presently establishedenergy source is today obsolete because of this.
It does not approach theprojected perfection of the focus fusion technology or even the other fusionprotocols, but they have not been successful either as yet. This is clearly successful by merelyproducing an economic surplus of heat from the very beginning and not producingconfounding radiation.
That is all civilization asks forafter all. The rest is helpful andimportant, but free heat can easily be used by our present technologyeverywhere.
Rossi is now providing skeptics withtheir own reactors to play with and this assures us that wide confirmation of theempirical results will be quickly achieved. After that we will see a flood of operational reactors producing heatand power.
What this all means is that nuclear power is clearly and immediately obsoleteand will be swiftly decommissioned and mothballed just as fast as these powersystems can be installed.
All other power productionsystems will now be relegated to standby basis as quickly as possible.
In practice, this reactor willhave two products. One is electricalgrid power and this is best distributed anyway. The other will be plenty of waste heat and since these plants can be builtin the downtown of a large city, and should be, the waste heat can be consumedinto the local heating grid through hot water systems.
We have only hoped for somethinglike this from the dawn of the nuclear age when we first understood E = mc2. We now have it and I will admit that it is a surprise but also the culmination of theoriginal suggestive experiments on cold fusion which pointed at thepossibility.
The conjecture that a crystallineatomic structure is able to provide a path past the Coulomb barrier is nowplausibly shown to be possible. It maytake us another century to work out the theoretical details, but who cares?
Rossi and Focardi Energy Catalyzer
MAY 02, 2011
Pure Energy Systems reports that Andrea Rossi has stated thatthere are currently 105 E-Cat modules in continuous operation. Rossiclaims these are modules that will be used in the one megawatt plant, and thathe is personally constructing additional units every day.
Andrea Rossi has announced that an E-Cat unit will be sent to boththe University of Uppsala and the University of Stockholm for extended testing. Perhaps after working with the device themselves, skeptics such as these two will eventually change their minds.
If Rossi’s technology works as advertised it could mean that arevolution in energy production is on the horizon. Rossi has said thathe will be charging 1 cent per kWh initially for the electricity he produces. That is approximately one tenth of the average cost of electricity in the
The e-cat device looks very simple with pipes and some catalyzation of nickelnanopowders.
Scaling up to hundreds of factories is logistically doable within three years, which would be the case if Gigawatts of clean power could be reliably producedat ten times lower cost.
